Completion of this course allows one to apply for the NCDA's CCSP and CCE's GCDF credentials.   

Completion of this course qualifies an individual to sit for the NCDA Certified School Career Development Advisor. More information can be found on the NCDA website at https://www.ncda.org/aws/NCDA/pt/sp/credentials_cscda.  

This training is designed for individuals working in the Kindergarten to Grade 12 sector. They work in these primary areas:   student career education and advising, working with business and industry as the school’s key point of contract, and organizing career related events such as career days, job fairs, company tours, or internship/externships.

This course is provided in partnership with the National Career Development Association.

This course is a customized NCDA Facilitating Career Development course for the career coaches with the United Way of Pierce County.  Completing this course qualifies an individual to apply for NCDA's Certified Career Services Provider and CCE's Global Career Development Facilitator. 

Completion of this course allows one to apply for the NCDA's CCSP and CCE's GCDF credentials.

Participants will have access to materials and resources for teaching NCDA's CDF course.

School Career Development Advisors work in the K-12 sector to provide career development and education to children and youth. They work in these primary areas:   student career education and advising, working with business and industry as the school’s key point of contract, and organizing career related events such as career days, job fairs, company tours, or internship/externships.


The foundation of the training is NCDA’s Facilitating Career Development Curriculum and is supplemented by three additional chapters on these topics:

  • Business Development and Relations
  • Career Services in K-12 Sector
  • Working as a School Career Development Advisor.


Upon completing this training, an individual qualifies to apply for School Career Development Advisor positions and NCDA’s Certified School Career Development Advisor.

Completion of this course will qualify an individual to apply for the Global Career Development Facilitator certificate.   

This is the online seminar will be offered through Peak Careers and The Pritchard Group.  Dr. Pritchard, course developer and instructor, is a NCDA Instructor, NCDA Master Trainer, and NCDA Fellow.  Dr. Pritchard has taught in prisons and provided Career Development Facilitator training in conjunction with NCDA and the National Institute of Corrections.
